This guide takes you from a new account to a course your students can open. It takes about five minutes, and every choice can be changed later.

1. Create your organization

  1. Sign up

Open kelasi.id/signup and create an account with your name, email and a password of at least 8 characters, or continue with Google. New organizations start on the free Gratis plan.

  2. Name your organization

Type the name of your school, your tutoring center or simply your own name. The preview on the right fills in as you type. Press Enter to continue.

  3. Pick what kind of place it is

Choose School, Tutoring center or Independent teacher. Kelasi uses this to word things the right way for you. An independent teacher, for example, sees “Invite students” instead of “Invite teachers and students”.

  4. Give it a color

Pick an orb color. It marks your organization everywhere in the app, which helps if you belong to more than one. Add a short description of what you teach if you like, then choose Create organization.

Every step shows a live preview of what you are making.

2. Create your first course

From the finish screen choose Create your first course. Admins can also create courses any time from the Courses tab.

  1. Name the course

For example Grade 10 Mathematics. You can rename it later.

  2. Choose how students move through it

Self-paced opens everything at once, which suits exam prep and short courses. Study plan unlocks content week by week on a schedule, which suits school terms and longer programs. Read more in weekly study plans.

  3. Set the schedule (study plan only)

Pick when the first week starts, how many weeks there are, and how long each week lasts (5, 7 or 14 days). Turn on Keep past weeks open if students should be able to go back to earlier weeks.

  4. Pick a sky

Every course gets its own color, called a sky. It shows on the course card and behind the course pages. Use the arrow keys to browse.

  5. A few last details

All optional: a description, the course language, start and end dates, whether late work is accepted, whether students see their grades, and whether discussions are on. Choose Create course.

The schedule step of a study plan course. The end date is worked out for you.

3. Add something to learn

A new course is a draft: only teachers and admins can see it. Before you open it to students, add at least one thing to do:

  • a material such as a PDF, a video or a written lesson,
  • a quiz, which you can fill with questions written by AI from a chapter you already have,
  • an assignment for students to hand in.

4. Publish and invite students

Open the course, choose Publish, then invite students in whichever way suits your class:
