Getting started

Is Kelasi free?

Yes, you can start free. The Gratis plan suits a small class. Paid plans add room and features as you grow. See plans, seats and billing.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Kelasi runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers. Students can add it to their phone’s home screen to open it like an app.

Can teachers and students register on their own?

Not at the main sign-up page, which is for people starting an organization. Teachers and students join through an invitation, a join code or a class link you give them. See members and invitations.

Can I use Kelasi in Indonesian and English?

Yes. Every screen is in both, and each person picks their own language from the top bar.

Can one person belong to several organizations?

Yes. Switch between them from the organization name in the top bar.

Students and classes

What's the fastest way to get a whole class in?

Create the course’s class link and share it in the class WhatsApp group, or show its QR code. Students sign up and land straight in the course.

A student says the class link doesn't work. Why?

Usually the course isn’t published yet, the link was turned off or replaced, it reached its student limit, or it expired. Check the link settings in the course’s Students tab.

Can students use Kelasi on a phone?

Yes. Every page is made for small screens. Students take quizzes full screen and hand in homework by taking a photo.

Can two students share one account?

No. Each account can be signed in on a small number of devices at once, and signing in on another device signs out the oldest. Every student needs their own account.

Quizzes and AI

Which question types are there?

Multiple choice, multi-select (in the question bank), true or false, short answer, fill in the blank and essay. All but essays are graded automatically. See creating quizzes.

Can I import questions I already have in Word or Excel?

Yes. Paste them as text in the usual numbered format, or upload a CSV. See question bank and import.

Does AI add questions without me checking?

No. AI writes questions for you to review. Nothing is saved until you tick the ones to keep. See AI question generator.

What can AI read?

PDFs (including scanned ones), Word and PowerPoint files, pasted text and photos of book pages.

Grades and report cards

Do I need to copy grades into a spreadsheet?

No. Grades go into the gradebook and onto report cards automatically. You can still export them as CSV.

Which work counts on a term's report card?

Only work that was due during the term’s dates.

Payments

Does Kelasi collect tuition from students?

No. Kelasi records payments, sends reminders and makes receipts, but parents pay you directly. Money never passes through Kelasi. See tuition payments.

How do paid class links work?

Students see the price, pay to your bank account, e-wallet or QRIS, and upload proof. You approve it and they join the class. See class links and paid classes.

How do I pay for my Kelasi plan?

Each period gets an invoice in Rupiah. Pay online by QRIS (monthly) or virtual account (yearly), or by bank transfer. No credit card is needed.

Your data

What happens to my data if I stop paying?

Nothing is deleted. Your organization moves to Gratis limits, and content over the limits stays readable.

Who can see students' grades and payments?

Teachers see grades in the courses they teach; admins see all of them. Payments are seen by admins and staff only; payment proofs also by the teachers of that course. Students see only their own. See roles and permissions.

Still stuck? Try troubleshooting, or ask your organization’s admin.
