The AI question generator writes questions from material you already have: a book chapter, your lesson notes, slides or photos of textbook pages. You check every question before anything is saved.

  1. 1Add materialPDF, Word, PowerPoint, text or photos of book pages
  2. 2Set the questionsHow many, types, difficulty, language, explanations
  3. 3AI writesQuestions appear one by one; you can stop it
  4. 4You checkTick, edit or drop each question
  5. 5Into the bankOr straight to the end of a quiz
One click of Generate uses one AI run. Nothing is saved without your approval.

Where to find it

  • Question bank › Generate with AI: questions go into the bank.
  • Inside a quiz, Generate with AI: questions go to the end of that quiz.
  • New quiz › Generate with AI: creates the quiz and opens the generator straight away.

1. Add your material

Drop in files, take a photo with your phone’s camera, or paste text.

Material Notes
PDF Text PDFs are read in full. Scanned PDFs are read as page images, up to 8 pages per run: Kelasi asks which pages to read, like 1-4, 10, 12-14.
Word (.docx) and PowerPoint (.pptx) Older .doc and .ppt files need saving as .docx, .pptx or PDF first.
Text Paste a chapter, notes or an article.
Photos of pages Up to 8 pages or photos at a time, JPG or PNG under 8 MB each.

Kelasi shows what it read, such as “12 pages, about 3,400 words”. If the material is longer than AI can read at once, only the first part is used: say which part to focus on, or remove a file.

2. Set the questions

  • How many: 5, 10, 15, 20 or 30.
  • Question types: multiple choice, multi-select, true or false, short answer, essay. Pick at least one. (Multi-select isn’t offered when adding to a quiz.)
  • Difficulty: easy, medium, hard or mixed.
  • Choices per question for multiple choice.
  • Language: the same as the material, English or Bahasa Indonesia. Indonesian material can produce English questions and the other way round.
  • Add an explanation to each answer.
  • Anything to focus on? For example only pages 10 to 15, for grade 8, about photosynthesis.

3. Watch it write, then check

Choose Generate. Questions appear one by one (“Writing question 4 of 10”). Long material takes a little longer. You can Stop at any time and keep what’s written.

For every question you can:

  • Include or leave it out (all are ticked to start),
  • Edit the question, choices, correct answer, accepted answers, explanation and difficulty,
  • Remove it, with Undo.

Turn on Tag each question with its topic to label them for filtering later. Then choose Add questions. Questions that are already in the bank are skipped.

Need more? Generate more writes another batch from the same material.

AI runs

One click of Generate uses one AI run. Each plan includes a number of runs a month, shared by everyone in the organization; monthly runs don’t roll over. Owners and admins can buy top-ups that last 12 months. The generator shows how many runs are left, for example “4 AI runs left this month (+10 bought)”.

There is also a daily limit per teacher to keep things fair. If you hit it, try again tomorrow.

Tips for better questions

  • Give it focused material: one chapter rather than a whole book.
  • Use Anything to focus on? for the grade level and the exact pages.
  • For scanned books, photograph pages flat and in good light.
  • Mix types: multiple choice for recall, short answer and essays for understanding.
  • Always read the answer key. AI is good, not perfect, and you have the final say.
