The gradebook is where every grade ends up. As soon as an assignment or quiz is graded, the score appears here: no copying, no spreadsheets. Open Grading › Grades.

The teacher's gradebook: what to grade, how each class is doing and who needs a hand.

At the top

  • To grade: how many submissions are waiting, across how many items.
  • Average: the mean of your class averages.
  • Students to watch: how many students stand out.
  • Students: how many you teach.

Needs grading

A queue of everything handed in and not yet graded, oldest first, with the course and when it was handed in. Click one to go straight to grading. When it’s empty you’ll see All caught up.

Students to watch

Kelasi flags students so you can help before report cards go out, with the reason:

Flag Means
Average below 60% Their overall average is low.
Well below the class Much lower than classmates in the same course.
Missing work Work is past due and not handed in.
Grades falling Their recent grades are trending down.

Courses

Each course opens to show its work (with how many handed in), the spread of student averages, and its students, weakest first. Filter courses by Current, Completed or Ended.

Export

  • Export CSV downloads the grades shown: course, item, type, status, score, out of, percent and date per student, or each student’s average, graded and missing items, recent change and watch-list flags.
  • Download score sheet gives a course’s scores in one table, ready for your own records.

Admins

Admins see the gradebook for every course in the organization, not only the ones they teach.

Students

Students have their own Results › Grades page: their overall average (weighted by points), a chart of their grades over time, each course with graded, waiting and missing work, how they compare to the class, and all teacher feedback in one place. See Students: learning and handing in.
